Abstract

This Note examines the Saudi Arabian Regulation on Protection from Abuse, passed in August of 2013, and suggests that the Regulation is unlikely to produce a significant impact on Saudi society at present, but that, given time, textual modification of the law, and further efforts to make the Saudi citizenry aware of its rights, it might eventually help to lower rates of domestic abuse in the country.
